brown fused alumina

Brown Fused Alumina is a carefully engineered material used in many industries for various applications. Brown Fused Alumina is made from high-quality bauxite by fusing in an electric arc furnace at a temperature above 2000 degrees. It owns bauxite, iron filings and coke. The mixture melts completely in the furnace as it rises to a scorching temperature of around 4000°F. As impurities melt they are formed into a liquid slag, which is then removed. The liquid alumina left over is then poured into steel drums and cools, solidifies. After being cooled, the alumina is crushed to small sizes and sorted in order to adapt it according different industrial applications.

Using Brown Fused Alumina

Brown Fused Alumina is a necessary material for the production of industrial abrasives, and in most cases it needs to provide enough strength, sharpness, particle size range-ACCT GB/T2479.3and other values but also require products with suitable prices. This feature particularly makes Brown Fused Alumina suitable for multi-level, grinding operations such that the abrasives remain sharp longer and delivers more efficient performance as compared to other materials. Moreover, they are hardwearing abrasives and suitable for larger tasks. In addition, they produce a less dust emission level which means that industrial workers work in a much safer environment.
